Native to the North East and Central United States Phlox subulata is on of the most colorful groundcovers. Creeping phlox is a mat forming, vigorous, herbacious perennial with needle-like foliage that will add splashes of color to your spring garden. Exuberant blooms of blueish purple, red, or pink last for 3-4 weeks in mid to late spring. Phlox subulata grows 4-6 inches tall and has a spread of about 2 feet.
